Brands

Brands are a key part of managing menu items. Having a menu item linked to a brand vastly increases its discoverability on Weedmaps and should be provided whenever possible. It also greatly assists in the curation of these items into verified products.

A menu item doesn't need to be associated with a verified product to have its associated brand show up on the listing page (Figure 1). All WM needs is the brand reference itself, which we can get directly via the provided brand_id or indirectly through brand_name, where we'll do a likeness search on your behalf.

To see a whole list of brands we support on our platform, you can hit the /wm/2024-01/partners/brands endpoint. Depending on your needs, you may also filter these brands by both their name and when they were last updated. The latter is helpful if you're performing any kind of syncing of brands.
